Resisting the idea that there is such a thing as nothing, Nic & Sylee have created a series of what might be best described as 'residuals', expressions of the thing that remains when something is taken away.

SYLEE GORE
Artwork has been exhibited in Germany and Britain; exhibitions include Green Door Gallery, Brussels (2024). Her translations (German-to-English) of art monographs are published by Hatje Cantz, Koenig Books, Prestel, and Steidl. Her fiction and poetry are published in The London Magazine, Poetry London, The Rialto, and Shearsman, as well as Bennington Review, Brooklyn Review, and Kenyon Review.
Gore’s awards include the Bird in Your Hand Prize from Northern Arizona University and the Lord Alfred Douglas Memorial Prize and Colin Franklin Prize from Oxford University. Sylee Gore is raised in the US and works between Berlin and Oxford. She holds an MSt (Distinction) in Creative Writing from Oxford University and a BA (Honors) in English Literature and the History and Philosophy of Science from Stanford University www.syleegore.com
